With the whole Adobe suite at my fingertips, I wanted to experament a bit more with the other Adobe products. InDesign immediatly stuck out to me as creating newspapers with dedicated software isn't a common sight for me. The only other dedicated newspaper software is Microsoft Publisher which I used for a while back in middle school for design class. InDesign is very simple to use. You put text, select the sixe and style and write. It's default measurement style is the Pico which I haven't learned. I switched to inches and used that instead. I haven't experamented with anything too complicated but I did write a sort of fake newspaper as an experament and I was satisfied with the results. One thing that stood out was how similar it was to Illustrator. It has vector capabilities but obviously it's not what it's designed for. The ruler tool is also very handy for lining up all my words. It really was a surprise how easy it was to create a page with InDesign and I hope to work more with it in the future.
